SWANAGE BANDSTAND UNDER THREAT
Whilst this website is about postcards I am very interested in Swanage history and conservation. The local town Council had been 'consulting' on demolishing the historic bandstand and filling in the seating area. To even consider such an idea was out of order. Fortunately a group 'The Friends of Swanage Bandstand' have successfully fundraised and saved the bandstand bringing it back to its former glory.
