LULWORTH, MAN OF WAR ROCKS, ST OSWALD'S BAY - 1900s
This is a coloured postcard published by Valentine's in the 1900s, and numbered 31610.
It shows a view of the Man of War Rocks, St Oswald's Bay, Lulworth, near Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. This is a favourate holiday destination with plenty of cliff walks and wildlife. It is thought that the rocks got their name because from the sea they look like battle ships.
The card is postmarked West Lulworth, 20 May 1909 over a pale green Edward VII ½d stamp.
